Ree Drummond, 52, of Pioneer Woman reveals she lost 38lbs over the past year through simple exercises and portion control: ‘No gimmicks at all!’

Ree Drummond revealed how she lost 38 pounds over the length of quarantine in a video that was shared to her Instagram Story and TikTok account earlier this month.

The 52-year-old Pioneer Woman star uploaded the clip in an effort to inform her followers about her preferred weight-loss methods, which she noted were entirely ordinary and old-fashioned.

The entrepreneur began the video by speaking about her affection for eating and noted that she had come to a place in her life where her habits were slightly out of control.

Drummond expressed that she ‘can’t get away from food and I love to eat. Of course it crept up on me through the years, especially during COVID.’

She then expressed that she eventually chose to do something about her health and embark on a serious path of change.

‘Starting in January, I decided to get busy and lose some weight. ‘No gimmicks at all. I just cut calories, exercised more, lifted a lot of weights,’ she recalled.

The blogger went on to express that, although she is happy with her physical appearance, her mental health has improved as a result of her fitness regimen.

In her post’s caption, Drummond expressed that working on her body has been instrumental to her weight loss, although she was holding out for certain foods.

‘Moving more and building muscle has been the key for me! I still love fries, though,’ she wrote.

The internet personality began her career in 2006 when she initially started the Pioneer Woman blog.

She quickly became known for her recipes and for her openness about her home life on her website, and she amassed a large following as a result.
